Allegiant Air plans to route travelers from Lexington's Blue Grass Airport to a different Orlando airport beginning Feb. 4.
The company now flies customers to the Orlando International Airport, but it will switch to the Orlando Sanford International Airport, which is about 25 miles northeast of Orlando.
Allegiant is consolidating all 29 of its Orlando routes at the Sanford airport, which already had 19 of them. The airport offers lower operating costs, the company said in a news release.
The other cities that will see their destinations changed include Huntington, W.Va.; Knoxville; and Youngstown, Ohio.
