PNC Foundation announced Friday that it is giving two grants of $40,000 each in Lexington.
Regional president Harry Richart said the first grant will help the city implement recommendations made by the Mayor's Commission on Mortgage Lending Practices. The grant will pay for a financial education program.
The second grant, to the Urban League of Lexington, will support affordable housing initiatives.
The financial education program will include information from the state's former "Don't Borrow Trouble" campaign. In addition, PNC has a successful Homebuyers Club program.
