The University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics announced recently that its August graduating class of masters of science in accountancy students has received national acclaim for their pass rates on the CPA exam.
UK's class placed sixth nationally among advanced degree programs, according to data released by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. The class trailed Virginia Tech, Brigham Young University, Baylor University, James Madison University and the University of Virginia.
UK said 22 of 28 students passed all four parts of the CPA exam during their first sitting, and three students passed three parts. The class was the first since the masters of science in accountancy program was reconfigured in 2008.
