Alltech has announced it will add an extra stop in Lexington on its North American lecture tour entitled "Feeding the World in 2050: Dinner for 9.3 Billion People."
The 21-stop tour began in January and criss-crossed the United States and Canada. The latest stop will be 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 28 at the University of Kentucky's Plant Sciences Building. Breakfast will be available from 8-9 a.m.
Among the speakers at the lecture will be Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech; Mark Lyons, the company's director of North America; and Karl Dawson, Alltech's director of worldwide research. They will discuss issues including sustainable food production and protection of resources.
