■ Men's clothing designer Crittenden Rawlings has opened his second retail store in the Bluegrass and has announced a new partner in the business, Stuart Mercer. Mercer will manage the new store, called Crittenden Upstairs.
The new store is at South Upper and West Maxwell streets in Lexington, above the Bella Rose women's clothing boutique. The original store is on Main Street in Midway. Crittenden Upstairs offers sport coats, suits, trousers, vests, flannel shirts, ties and outerwear jackets. Full custom for shirts and clothing also is available.
Rawlings, a Kentucky native, is a 50-year veteran of the men's fashion industry, having worked with Oxxford, Norman Hilton and Ralph Lauren. His clothing line is available in 150 stores nationwide, including Barneys New York, and is worn by celebrities including University of Kentucky coach John Calipari, football stars Tim Tebow and Brett Favre, and fashion expert Carson Kressley.

■ ERA, purchased in 2008 by Greg Buchanan, now has a new name: ERA Select Real Estate. Since 2008, ERA has formed partnerships with Briggs Homes, a Central Kentucky builder for more than 13 years, and Eirecon Builders, who has been building for 12 years. ERA Select focuses on resale, new construction and relocation. The company is part of the Cartus Relocation Network; the largest relocation company in the world.
