Unemployment rates fell in 111 of Kentucky's 120 counties, according to data released Thursday by the state's Office of Employment and Training.
Woodford County had the state's lowest jobless rate at 6.9 percent. It was followed by Fayette, 7.1 percent; Oldham, 7.4 percent; Union and Webster, 7.7 percent each; Henderson, 7.8 percent; Daviess, 7.9 percent; and Franklin, Madison and Ohio, 8 percent each.
Fulton County had the state's highest unemployment rate at 18.3 percent. It was followed by Menifee, 17.3 percent; Magoffin, 16.5 percent; Jackson, 16.3 percent; McCreary, 15.2 percent; Bell, Clay and Wolfe, 14.7 percent each; Lewis, 14.3 percent; and Leslie, 14.2 percent.
