A limited-service Chick-fil-A restaurant opened Tuesday on the fifth floor of downtown Lexington's Chase Tower.
The location is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays and has food delivered to it from the Chick-fil-A at Fayette Mall, said Kyle Wells, a franchisee who owns and operates both locations. Because the food is delivered, the downtown restaurant has a limited menu.
"Downtown has some good food options, don't get me wrong, but it's a very limited amount," Wells said. "We thought it would be a good service for downtown."
Wells said the downtown presence is also intended to help get the word out about the restaurant's catering services.
The Chick-fil-A is another addition to the Chase Tower, which has seen occupancy rise in recent years since NAI Isaac took over leasing the building.
