Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass will induct three members into its Bluegrass Business Hall of Fame at an event June 8 at Keeneland.
The hall of fame began in 1989 and has recognized more than 80 people for their contributions to business and quality of life in Central Kentucky.
This year's inductees are:
Terry E. Forcht: Forcht is the founder, chief executive and chairman of Forcht Group of Kentucky. It's composed of 95 separate companies, ranging from the well-known Forcht Bank in the financial services industry to the Hamburg Journal in media.
Davis Marksbury: A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Marksbury has helped launch a number of successful companies including Exstream Software, which was purchased in recent years by Hewlett-Packard. He was a regional winner of the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and has twice been a finalist for Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year award.
W. Terry McBrayer: A senior partner of the law firm McBrayer McGinnis Leslie & Kirkland, PLLC, McBrayer is a former chairman of the Kentucky Democratic Party. He has been involved in state government throughout his career, including as a state representative and a lobbyist.
