Fashion retailers White House/Black Market and Chico's are expected to open stores this summer at The Mall at Lexington Green.
The additions continue a spate of changes at the shopping center, which is revamping itself into a high-end fashion center.
The shopping center's management also is working to bring in additional fashion retailers, said Doris Benson, president of Langley Properties and a partner in Lexington Green.
It will be the second Lexington store for women's fashion retailer White House/Black Market, which offers clothing in black and white. The chain's other Lexington store is at Hamburg. At Lexington Green, the store will be in space next to the Artique store at the left of the mall's entrance.
Never miss a local story.
Chico's, a high-end women's fashion retailer, already has two stores in Lexington, one at Hamburg and the other at Lansdowne along Tates Creek Road. Employees have told customers that the Lansdowne store will close to move into a larger space at Lexington Green, next to Whole Foods' wine shop.
Both Chico's stores are owned by Chico's FAS Inc., which also owns Soma Intimates and Boston Proper.
The addition of White House/Black Market and Chico's "help round out the fashion there to benefit all age groups," Benson said.
The openings come among many changes at Lexington Green, where a redevelopment has been in the works for more than two years and is linked to a consultant's study suggesting that the shopping center focus on fashion tenants.
Last year, Lexington Green's management kicked off the changes by announcing they had signed fashion retailer Anthropologie, which opened last month in the former Disc Jockey space. Other fashion retailers that have signed on include Ann Taylor Loft and Hot Mama, both of which plan to open in the next several weeks.
The fashion strategy has meant changes elsewhere. Longtime tenants Heavenly Ham and Willis Music were asked to move. Other changes at the site include the closings of longtime restaurants Regatta Seafood Grille and Tony Roma's. A new restaurant is expected to open in the former Regatta space by spring.
