The Kentucky Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects will hold its annual conference June 28-29 in downtown Lexington. Keynote speaker: Stan Harvey, principal of Urban Collage/Lord Aeck & Sargent and project manager of the Rupp Arena Arts and Entertainment District. The KY ASLA Chapter will present the first Grady Clay Community Vision Award to Lexington Mayor Jim Gray.
Saturday's conference will be at the Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning and will feature several educational sessions, including Evaluating Spaces, The Value of Ecology in the Built Environment, China — The New Landscape and Synergies in Education, Research & Practice. The conference will conclude Saturday afternoon with a walking tour of Historic Gratz Park with an afterparty to be held at West Sixth Brewery.
