The Central Kentucky Chapter of the American Heart Association: Pat Dalbey, president and general manager of WLEX, has been named chair, and Dr. Theodore Wright of Kentucky One — Saint Joseph, has been named president of the local board. Dalbey and Wright will serve through June 2015. New board members include: Rufus Friday, Lexington Herald-Leader; Paula Hansen, Dean Dorton Ford; Patricia Q. Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives: Eric L. King has been named director of community and government affairs. King replaces the retiring Dan Yates, who has represented Kentucky's 26 electric co-ops in Frankfort and Washington, D.C., since 1985. King most recently worked as senior staff legislative assistant on energy, agriculture and the environment for Sen. Mitch McConnell.
The Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau: John G. McNamara, a market partner with Bluegrass Hospitality Group and an active director in the Bluegrass Chapter of the Kentucky Restaurant Association, has been named a member of the nine-seat LCVB Commission.
The Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky: The following area funeral directors have been named officers or district directors: James W. Davis, Berea, secretary/treasurer; David West, Nicholasville, sergeant-at-arms; and Grant Bolt, Lexington, central district director.
