Blue Grass Community Foundation: The following have been named new board of director members for 2013-14: Rufus Friday, president and publisher of the Lexington Herald-Leader; Logan Marksbury, philanthropic director for the Marksbury Family Foundation; Brandl Skirvin, owner of State Beauty Supply and the Salon and Spa Idea Group; Nancy Allen Turner, executive director of the Winchester-Clark County Tourism Commission; Griffin VanMeter, partner at Bullhorn Creative; and L. Tracee Whitley, chief operating officer at Bingham McCutchen. Kentucky Horse Council: Kentucky native Susan Schneider has been named executive director. Schneider has roots in Louisville but most recently has lived and practiced law in North Carolina. Schneider succeeds Ginny Grulke, who retired after eight years as executive director at the Kentucky Horse Council.
The League of Women Voters of Kentucky: The following have been recently elected to two-year terms as officers: Tammy Fagley and Cindy Heine, Lexington, and Cecile Schubert, Richmond, co-presidents; Frances Wagner, Louisville, secretary; and Richard Heine, Lexington, treasurer. Steve Senft, Lexington, and Harriette Seiler, Louisville, have been elected directors and will join current directors Beverly Moore, Louisville, and Carolyn Self, Hopkinsville.

Kentucky Division of Credit Bureau Systems: William "Will" Edwards Jr. has been promoted to regional vice-president of the receivables management and health care billing firm with 275 employees and offices in Paducah, Owensboro and Lexington. William "Bill" Harrod, has been promoted to executive director for Medical Accounts Receivables Systems and Ambulance Medical Billing, a division of Credit Bureau Systems.
Scott County Public Library: Barbara O'Hara has been named director of the library. A Kentucky native, O'Hara has 20 years experience as a writer and library professional in libraries across the country.
GAAN Technologies: Ericka Mattingly has joined the company as a sales executive.
ResCare: Keith McCane has been promoted to ResCare Residential Services director of operations/general manager. He previously served as regional director for ResCare's Eastern Kentucky operations from 2002-2010. He will oversee ResCare Residential Services operations in Lexington, Hazard, Frankfort, Bowling Green, Winchester and Somerset in Kentucky and Salem Villages in Tennessee.
