For downtown Lexington diners who miss having a restaurant on Woodland and High, good news: The old Ramsey's space has been rented.
There's no name yet and no projected opening date, but the remodeling is about to begin.
"We're going to bring back a good old neighborhood restaurant," said Charles Patterson, a Lexington native who has leased the space from Wassmer Properties. Patterson has worked in hospitality in Charleston, S.C.
"We're going to do Southern comfort foods ... going to bring up some Lowcountry influences," Patterson said Thursday. "An opportunity like this doesn't come around very often. I love the location. And I'm just looking forward to getting started."
