Republic Bank & Trust Co. on Tuesday announced that it intends to open a banking center in Lexington's CentrePointe development now under construction downtown.
Republic Bank said it would anchor the first floor of CentrePointe's office building, offering services including a 24-hour ATM.
The price tag for the entire CentrePointe project, which is bounded by South Limestone and Vine, Main and Upper streets, is estimated at $393.9 million, including financing costs.
An underground parking garage is now being built at the site. Developer Dudley Webb has said work on the office building will likely start in August.
