Eastern Kentucky University: Jason Rainey, of Winchester, has been named director of the Small Business Development Center at EKU.
Traditional Bank: Linda Rumpke has been named senior vice president and commercial loan officer. Rumpke works at the Palumbo banking center. Rumpke has worked in banking for 30 years, most recently as president and CEO of Town & Country Bank and Trust Co. based in Bardstown.

Kentucky State Advisory Council on Libraries: Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed three new members to the Kentucky State Advisory Council on Libraries, and reappointed two current board members. Kay Morrow, of Stearns, and Julia Allegrini, of Newport, will each serve terms expiring Dec. 17, 2017. Terry Buckner, of Lexington, will serve a term expiring Dec. 17, 2014.
Morrow is the director of the McCreary County Public Library and will represent public libraries on the council. Buckner is a librarian at Bluegrass Community and Technical College and will represent institutional libraries. Allegrini is a branch librarian at the Kenton County Public Library and will be representing disadvantaged library users.
The two council members reappointed to terms that will expire Dec. 17, 2017 are: Robyn S. Baxter, Taylorsville, an educational recovery leader for the Kentucky Department of Education who represents school libraries; and Louis A. "Buzz" Carmichael, Lexington, vice president at CBA Pharma who represents library users. Carmichael serves as chair of the council.
Commonwealth Real Estate Professionals: Realtor Victoria Damron, a Pikeville native, has joined the company.
The Kentucky Equine Humane Center: Amanda Bryant has been named director of development.
