Hamburg Pavilion customers of Garden Ridge may have wondered if the new signs at the Garden Ridge store means that ownership of the home-décor giant has changed.
Instead, the chain is changing its name to At Home so customers can better identify with its products of home goods and decor.
The Plano, Texas-based retailer has changed the signs at all three of its Kentucky stores, which includes Louisville/Jeffersontown and Florence.
Garden Ridge plans to change all of its 71 stores in time for the holiday 2014 shopping season, according to information the retailer provided to the The Dallas Morning News.
The company started as Garden Ridge Pottery in 1979 in Texas. The company was acquired in 2011 by AEA Investors, a private equity firm that also owns 24 Hour Fitness.
