Safety Leadership Principles will be Feb. 12-13 at the Doubletree Suites by Hilton, 2601 Richmond Road. This two-day workshop is designed to improve safety leadership skills, expand safety knowledge, assist in developing safety leadership skills and help put what you know about safety to work for you and your company. Safety and management personnel who are versed in the OSHA regulations and have a general understanding of compliance issues should leave this interactive workshop with improved safety leadership skills needed to create and maintain a safety program. The 26 Annual Economic Outlook Conference will be Feb. 3 at the Lexington Convention Center. The event is hosted by UK's Gatton College of Business & Economics, Commerce Lexington and The Lane Report. Check-in is at 8 a.m. and the conference is 8:30 a.m.-noon. Topics include: national and local outlook for 2015, state of the U.S. labor market, strengths and weaknesses of Kentucky's economy, Federal Reserve policy actions since 2007.
