The Medical Protective Co.: MacKenzie Mayes Walter has joined the company as an in-house attorney, managing litigation filed against physicians and other health care providers. Prior to joining MedPro, Walter practiced in the commercial litigation department of Dinsmore & Shohl for six years.
Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs: Walter R. Morris Jr. and Daniel C. Soldato have been elected to join the partnership. Morris focuses his practice in all areas of estate planning and administration. Soldato focuses his practice on corporate services and regulatory matters for health care organizations.
Asphalt Institute: Paul Sohi has joined the international trade association as director of health, safety and environment. Nicole Coburn has been named marketing and seminar coordinator.
The Kentucky Distillers' Association: Pauline Rooney of Diageo North America has been named chairwoman of the 135-year-old group that advocates for the state's signature bourbon and distilled spirits industry. Rooney, who is vice president of distillation, maturation and engineering, will serve through December. The Board also appointed Chris Morris, master distiller at Brown-Forman Corp., vice chairman, and John Rhea, chief operating officer of Four Roses Distillery, secretary-treasurer. Other board members for 2015 include: Rob Samuels, Beam Suntory; Rick Robinson, Wild Turkey; and Joe Fraser, Heaven Hill Brands.

Leadership Kentucky: Chrisandrea Turner, a partner in the law firm of Stites & Harbison, has been elected to the organization's board of directors for a three-year term. She is a bankruptcy and creditors' rights litigator focusing on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring and adversary proceeding defense.
