A Kansas City, Missouri, company has offered $5 million to the city of Georgetown for about 200 acres in Lanes End Business Park for use by vehicle-parts suppliers that possibly could create up to 1,200 new jobs. Chad Meyer, president and chief operating officer of NorthPoint Development, said the company specializes in helping "tier one" automobile and truck parts makers locate facilities close to vehicle manufacturers like Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky.
