Dupree Catering and Azur Food Group have merged to form Dupree Catering and Events, the firms announced Tuesday.
Harriet Dupree Bradley, founder of Dupree Catering, and Tom Evans, who was recruited to Azur Catering from Washington, D.C., will lead the merged company.
Dupree's kitchens on Delaware Avenue will remain the headquarters of the business. Azur Food Group includes Azur Restaurant and Patio in Beaumont, and Brasabana Cuban Cuisine in Garden Springs.
The merger will add more flexibility in their combined cuisine offerings and service levels, according to a news release.

Bradley and Evans said the new business will continue the philosophy of delivering food prepared by hand from scratch, using the best ingredients, with gracious service.
