■ First Security Bank has opened its second Lexington location at 345 Ruccio Way, It will be more commonly known as the bank's Wellington banking center. The Owensboro-based bank first expanded its service into the Lexington market in March 2012, opening its Hamburg Banking Center at 2352 Sir Barton Way. The Wellington banking center plans to hire several new employees and will be under the direction of senior vice president and Lexington market executive, Lance Lawrence.

■ Kentucky Bancshares, the parent company of Kentucky Bank with headquarters in Paris, has entered into an agreement to acquire Madison Financial Corp., the parent company of Madison Bank, in a common-for-common share exchange transaction. The transaction is subject to Madison shareholder approval and is expected to close later this year. Once the transaction is complete, Madison Bank offices will become branches of Kentucky Bank. Madison Bank currently operates three branches in Richmond.
■ Lineman Farms, a subcontractor for Windstream Communications, has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer and supplies moving trucks, trailers and towing equipment, support rental items, after-hours drop-off and in-store pickup for boxes in addition to U-Box containers and a U-Box storage warehouse.
