Consumer Economics Summit will be May 6 in Cincinnati. Consumer spending, behavior and attitudes in the wake of the Great Recession are the focus of the inaugural summit. Speakers: Loretta J. Mester, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; David Szymanski, dean of the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business; and Sean Williams, senior practice consultant of The Gallup Organization. The Kentucky Work Ready Communities Best Practices Summit will be 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. April 29 at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Central Office, 300 North Main Street, Versailles. The summit is free and is designed to help communities that want to improve their economic development potential by working toward Kentucky Work Ready Communities certification.
