Farmers Bank & Capital Trust Co.: L. Hobbs Cheek has been promoted to executive vice president. He had been a senior vice president and is the bank's chief financial officer.
Kentucky Equine Education Project: Joe Clabes has been appointed executive director of the Lexington-based organization. Clabes represented KEEP during the recently completed Kentucky legislative session and has worked in equine policy on the state and federal levels for more than 15 years. Along with his lifelong involvement in the horses industry, he has served as an independent government affairs consultant for nine years.
The League of Women Voters of Kentucky: The following officers have been elected to two-year terms: Terry Naydan and Nita Smith, both of Lexington, co-presidents; Bonnie Lynch, Hopkinsville, first vice president; Steve Senft, Lexington, second vice president; Fran Wagner, Louisville, secretary; and Richard Heine, Lexington, treasurer.
