A $16 million senior living community called Highgrove at Tates Creek is under construction by Ohio-based Continental Real Estate and the Indiana-based Leo Brown Group.
The development will offer 90 units, 30 of which will be part of a secured memory care component for those with memory impairment, according to a news release from the Leo Brown Group.
Highgrove will be built on Saron Drive, just south of Man o' War Boulevard.
Features will include a 24-hour staff, an emergency response system, scheduled transportation (doctor appointments, shopping, trips and events), dining, a theater room, a fitness center, a beauty salon and barber, a library, a chapel, walking paths and outdoor gathering areas, and daily recreational activities and events.
Highgrove is expected to open in spring 2016.
It is estimated that more than 40 new permanent jobs will be generated through the development of the project, according to the news release.
