The Kentucky Equine Networking Association has returned to Lexington and will hold its first program at Fasig-Tipton. KENA is a dinner and educational series open to equine professionals and horse owners and will feature a networking reception from 5:30 to 6 p.m., followed by dinner with the main speaker from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 18.
The group, focused on the Kentucky Thoroughbred, sport and pleasure horse community, provides an educational and social venue for equine professionals and horse enthusiasts from all disciplines. KENA, which is supported by the University of Kentucky Equine Initiative and Kentucky Horse Council, provides the opportunity for attendees to share ideas and business strategies, and to obtain up-to-date knowledge on horse and farm management.
The Aug. 18 topic will be Biosecurity and Vaccination: Evaluating Flu and Herpes Risk, presented by Dr. Rob Holland, director of Zoetis Outcomes Research. For details and reservations, go to Kentuckyhorse.org.
