A special pair of Maker’s Mark bottles will be available beginning Father’s Day weekend.
The distillery will release limited edition father-and-son bottles celebrating the careers of Bill Samuels Jr., former president and CEO of Maker’s Mark, and his son Rob, who now serves as CEO and president.
The bottles contain bourbon from the last three barrels Bill laid down on his final day at the distillery before retiring on March 31, 2011 and the first three bottles Rob filled the very next day on April 1.
The 375 milliliter bottles will be uniquely labeled and packaged together for purchase only at Maker’s Mark distillery beginning June 16, two days before Father’s Day. The bottles will be available as a single-barrel offering.
Never miss a local story.
The sets will cost $150 and come with a special display stand. There will be 1,200 sets available while supplies last.
Maker’s Mark distillery is located in Loretto about 15 miles southwest of Springfield.
