Hye, Texas — Garrison Brothers, a craft bourbon made in the Texas hill country, now will be distributed in Kentucky, according to a news release. It will retail for a suggested price of about $88.
The distillery has released 1,200 bottles to bars and liquor stores throughout Kentucky as part of its partnership with Republic National Distributing Company.
Founded in 2006, Garrison Brothers' Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made by distiller Dan Garrison with the assistance of a "small staff of bourbon cowboys" who help with hand bottling.
All previous vintage releases have sold out in Texas, Colorado, and New York, according to the company. Kentucky will get a limited allocation of the fall 2013 vintage, the spring 2014 vintage, and soon, the fall 2014 vintage when it hits shelves later this year, the company said.
