Brown-Forman plans to announce on Tuesday an additional $20 million investment in the planned $30 million Old Forester Distillery and visitors center on Whiskey Row in Louisville, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
Family member Campbell Brown will be named to run the unit, according to the report.
Sales of Old Forester have seen double digit growth in the last two years as the company's original brand gained traction amongst bartenders seeking authentic bourbon.
The company has begun introducing the Old Forester Whiskey Row series, a line designed to replicate the taste of the whiskey throughout its 144-year history.
