A hearing is set for April 21 in Franklin District Court for a man charged in the theft of bourbon from the Wild Turkey Distillery.
Gilbert Thomas Curtsinger, 45, was arrested last week after deputies found five barrels of spirits behind a storage shed at his Franklin County home.
He entered no plea during a hearing Tuesday, according to the district court clerk's office.
Curtsinger works at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort. The bourbon found at his residence allegedly was taken from the Wild Turkey Distillery near Lawrenceburg in Anderson County.
Curtsinger is charged with receiving stolen property valued at more than $10,000; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is investigating the case.
Franklin Sheriff Pat Melton said detectives began the investigation and obtained a search warrant for Curtsinger's home after receiving a tip.
The barrels had identifying marks on them, but the marks had been burned or painted over, according to authorities.
