A Perry County man allegedly tried to back his car over a Hazard police officer Tuesday evening, according to a news release from state police.

Scott Martin Kadik, 39, of Viper came into the motel lobby but left when he saw Baker, according to the news release.
When Baker went outside and asked Kadik for identification, Kadik allegedly got into his vehicle and started backing up toward Baker, state police said.
