Two more people on Thursday were charged with promoting gambling in a Laurel County case where four others were arrested earlier this week.
In a news release, Sheriff John Root said the two men arrested, both of London, were Christopher Asher, 29, who was accused of supplying gambling machines and David W. Barnes, 44, who was accused of hiring employees, renting and managing the establishment.
Earlier this week, police seized 19 illegal gambling machines and nearly $10,000 in cash at an establishment north of London.
The gambling parlor had an ATM and surveillance cameras, according to the news release.
The others who worked at the establishment and charged with promoting gambling were Raymond C. Wright, 45, of Williamsburg and Shannon R. Jones, 32, of Rockholds, which is in Whitley County. Two others who came in during the investigation and charged were Jerry Collier Jr., 30, of East Bernstadt; and Jerry Collier, 62, of East Bernstadt.
