Two men were arrested and least one person apparently was shot late Wednesday night when several armed men forced their way into a Jessamine County home, authorities said.
It happened about 10:40 p.m. at a home on Flagship Drive, the Jessamine County Sheriff's Department said.
According to deputies, several men with handguns burst into the house, and at least one shot was fired in the process.
Deputies said they found blood inside the home, but they weren't immediately able to find the person who had been wounded.
The homeowner escaped and ran for help, according to the sheriff's department.
About three minutes later, officers stopped a 2005 Chrysler on U.S. 27 near Ashgrove Road that matched a description of one of the vehicles involved in the home invasion, officers said.
Two suspects were arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, deputies said.
They were identified as Shad A. Wilson, 38, of Lexington, and James A. Burus Jr., 44, of Richmond. Both were being held in the Jessamine County jail.
An investigation is continuing.
