A Harlan man died early Wednesday morning after his car crashed into the back of a dump truck, Kentucky State Police said.
Delbert Boggs, 38, was pronounced dead at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital, where he was taken after the wreck, according to the Harlan KSP post.
Troopers said the crash occurred about 5:40 a.m. Wednesday on Ky. 119 at the Dione community in Harlan County.
According to initial reports, Charles Puryear, 65, also of Harlan, was traveling north in a 1989 Mack dump truck when Boggs' car ran into the back of the vehicle.

No charges are pending, but an investigation is continuing, state police said.
