■ Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., three members of the Berea Welcome Center Carvers will demonstrate their woodcarving skills.

■ Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., studio potter Melvin Rowe of Louisville will demonstrate hand-building techniques used to create his whimsical functional pottery.
Golf course honored
The Arlington Association Golf Course on West Main Street in Richmond has been named an ”Audubon Certified Sanctuary“ through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an Audubon International program. The Certification award to Arlington makes it only the fourth golf course in Kentucky to receive the honor and is the 679th worldwide.
Free Shakespeare performance
Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream will be performed by the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Gazebo in Irvine McDowell Park, 345 Lancaster Avenue in Richmond. The event is free. Bring a chair, a blanket and snacks.
If raining, it will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Richmond Area Arts Center, corner of Lancaster Avenue and Water Street in Richmond. The performance is sponsored by the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department and the Richmond Area Arts Council.
