Kayla Bradley and Rachell Roser of Georgetown have earned the highest achievement in Girl Scouting, the Girl Scout Gold Award. The Gold Award requires a minimum of 65 service hours. Bradley and Roser are Girl Scout Seniors in Troop 1223.
Bradley and Roser's project screened high school students for potential health risks and taught about specific risks such as high blood pressure. They contacted several professionals within the community for assistance including the local health department. After screening each individual, Bradley and Roser sent letters to the students who needed additional health information, referring them to local physicians and optometrists.
Never miss a local story.
