■ Army Reserve Col. Keith P. Nadig has graduated from the Army War College Correspondence Course at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa. The course prepares officers of all services, as well as civilian officials of the federal government, for top level command and staff positions with U.S. armed forces throughout the world.
Nadig, who has served in the military for 24 years, is a senior intelligence officer assigned to the 2300th Military Intelligence Group at Charlottesville, Va.
He is the son of Henry Nadig of Seminole, Fla., and F. Bernice Peterson of Lexington. His wife, Marie, is the daughter of Claire Hermes of Lexington.
Nadig is a 1982 graduate of Henry Clay High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in 1986.
■ Army Reserve Pvt. Kayla J. Werkheiser has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
She is the daughter of Michael and Tracey Werkheiser of Georgetown and graduated in 2009 from Scott County High School.
