The GED test, an education and work force credential, will be free to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis through June 30 or until funds are expended. Those taking the test during that time will not be paying the usual $60 testing fee.
GED tests provide adults who did not finish high school with the opportunity to certify their attainment of high school-level academic knowledge and skills.
New-student enrollment times are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 5 p.m. Tuesdays, or by appointment. Those interested in the free classes and testing should call Joann at (859) 887-9052 or visit Jessamine County Adult Education at 200 Computrex Drive, Nicholasville.
