A public workshop for the Interstate 75 connector project will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at East Jessamine Middle School in Nicholasville. The workshops will enable the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the local I-75 Connector Team to share information with and receive input from the public in an open-house forum. Smoking-cessation classes to be held
The Jessamine County Health Department is sponsoring free Cooper-Clayton Smoking Cessation classes starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 215 East Maple Street. Cooper-Clayton is a science-based program that uses proven methods including education, skills training and social support. Nicotine patches are provided for registered participants. AARP sponsors safe-driving course

The American Association of Retired Persons is sponsoring a safe driving class from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Wilmore Senior Community Center at Wesley Village, 1125 Lexington Road, Wilmore. The class allows experienced drivers to review safety tips and receive insurance discounts. There will be classroom instruction only, with no behind-the-wheel driving.
