■ Luke Edward Williams of Mount Sterling was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank a Boy Scout can earn, on Oct. 21.
Luke is a member of Troop No. 53, sponsored by First Christian Church of Mount Sterling. Luke, 18, is a home-schooled senior.
He is the son of Stephen E. and Diane L. Williams.
For his Eagle Project, Luke marked storm drains in downtown Mount Sterling with medallions as part of the Hinkston Creek watershed clean-up project.

■ Alec Justus Tibbitts of Lexington was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank a Boy Scout can earn, on Oct. 22.
Alec, 17, a member of Troop No. 110, sponsored by South Elkhorn Christian Church, is a senior at Lafayette High School.
He is the son of Sondra and John Tibbitts.
For his Eagle Project, Alec built four wooden benches at Camp Nelson in Nicholasville. Alec raised the money for the project with the help of Moose Riders.
