Experience an 1860s-style Christmas at the Oliver Perry House at Camp Nelson Civil War Heritage Park from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature a holiday celebration typical of how the Perry family celebrated Christmas in their residence before and after the Union Army occupation. The house will be decorated in period style, Christmas carols will be sung, and treats will be provided, including General Bull Nelson Rum Cake. Re-enactors will provide guided tours of the house and take visitors on a candlelit tour to the interpretive center, barracks and museum. Call (859) 881-5716 or visit Campnelson.org.
