■ Drew Hardy, 17, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor given by the Boy Scouts of America.
Drew is a member of Troop No. 93, sponsored by Christ the King School. He is a junior at Lexington Catholic High School and is the son of Mike and Christine Hardy of Lexington.
For his service project, Drew renovated and repaired the Native American hut in Kentucky Children's Garden of The Arboretum on Alumni Drive using mats made out of twine, cattail leaves and fishing line. Drew has been a Boy Scout since 2007.

■ Spencer Callahan Lynch, 18, has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor given by the Boy Scouts of America. Spencer is a member of Troop 111, sponsored by Meadowthorpe Presbyterian Church. He is the son of Julie and Tim Lynch of Lexington.
Spencer is a member of Order of the Arrow and served his troop as a patrol leader and troop guide. His Eagle project consisted of building a composting system for the Hope Center on Loudon Avenue. The system helps to recycle waste from the 2,000 meals served daily at the center.
Spencer is a senior at Lexington Catholic High School, where he is a member of Beta Club, an organization that recognizes academic achievement, leadership, character and service. He is also a student ambassador, DanceBlue committee member and a four-year member of the football team. He is employed at Outback Steakhouse and is a member of St. Paul Church.
