Participants in the Richmond HeartChase will compete in wacky games and heart-healthy challenges from 9 to 10:30 a.m. July 27 at Richmond Centre, 2139 Lantern Ridge Drive. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
HeartChase brings families, friends and coworkers together in teams of two to five in a community-wide competition to uncover clues, solve puzzles and complete challenges in a race to the finish line.
A $50 minimum donation to the American Heart Association is required to participate, and all donations are used to fund cardiovascular research and preventative education in Central and Eastern Kentucky.

Living with Alzheimer's workshop for caregivers
Living with Alzheimer's for Caregivers: Late Stage, a workshop for families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or some other type of dementia, will be 1-3:30 p.m. July 23 at the Madison County Cooperative Extension Office, 230 Duncannon Lane, Richmond.
Hear from caregivers and professionals about resources, monitoring care and providing meaningful connection for the person with late stage Alzheimer's and their families.
The workshop is presented by the Alzheimer's Association, in conjunction with the Madison County Cooperative Extension Service.
