Latitude Artist show starts Sunday
A reception for the Latitude Artist Community Show will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Main Library's Gallery.
The show runs Nov. 10-Dec. 31. Founded in 2001, the Latitude Artist Community serves all people — with an emphasis on those with a disability — by allowing artists to contribute culturally and politically to their community.
Latitude received the 2012 Community Art Center award from the Kentucky Arts Council Governor's Awards in the Arts.
Red Tie Gala comes back
The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce is bringing back an event, the Red Tie Gala, on Nov. 16 at the Woodford Hills Country Club. The Red Tie Gala is a semi-formal (business attire) fundraiser to support the operations of the chamber. The event is open to the community, not just chamber members and the cost is $40 per person or $75 per couple. The gala will feature a buffet dinner catered by Sweet Lilu's, a silent and live auction, and a deejay. To make reservations, call the Chamber at (859) 873-5122 or email email@example.com.
