Author discusses Perryville's aftermath
In celebration of Jack Jouett Patriot Day, Stuart Sanders, right, of the Kentucky Historical Society presented a program titled "When the Guns Fell Silent: The Aftermath of the Battle of Perryville" at the Jack Jouett House Historic Site on June 1. The author of two books about the largest Civil War battle in Kentucky, Sanders offered unique insight into the travails suffered by military casualties and local residents alike following the conflict that took the life of Jack Jouett's grandson, George Payne Jouett. Steve Menefee, left, will present the next Civil War Sesquicentennial Series program at the Jack Jouett House. It will be in August.
