Women's history project to be discussed Thursday at library
Linda Roach, a member of the Kentucky Commission on Women and the KCW Foundation, will share the recently unveiled women's history project, Writing Women Back Into History!, from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at a meeting of American Association of University Women at Woodford County Library, 115 North Main Street, Versailles.
Dinner is available at 5:30 p.m. at a cost of $5. Reservations are required. Call (859) 272-7792 by noon Tuesday to make a dinner reservation.
The documentary will air on public television and will be sent to schools across the state as an educational tool.

Jouett House to offer seedlings at talk
The Jack Jouett House Historic Site, in partnership with the Woodford Herbalists Club, will offer the next program in its Early American Kitchen Garden Series at 2 p.m. Saturday in the visitor center. Heritage seedling producer Cathy Anderson will speak about Kitchen Garden Saffron and free seedlings will be available while supplies last. Admission is free. Candidate forums to be held in October
The Woodford County Chamber of Commerce will host candidate forums in Duthie Auditorium at Midway College in October. The first forum will be Oct. 2 and will include individuals running for Midway city and Woodford County offices. The second forum will be Oct. 16 and will include individuals running for state and national offices.
The chamber will also host a candidate forum Sept. 15 at the Woodford Theatre, located at Falling Springs in Versailles. The forum will be for individuals running for offices in Versailles and Woodford County. Unopposed candidates will be allowed to participate.
