The 2014 Tiki Trot 5K & Fun Run will be 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at Woodford County Park, 275 Beasley Drive, Versailles. This family-oriented event features a 1-mile fun run at 7 p.m. followed by a 5K at 8.
Keeping with the theme, the cross country course will be lit with tiki torches. Racers are encouraged to wear island attire. After the race, participants and their families are invited for a moonlight swim at the Falling Springs Center splash pool.

Jouett House offers free Revolutionary Kids Day

The Jack Jouett House Historic Site will host its fourth annual Revolutionary Kids Day from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Visitors are invited to experience life in Revolutionary America through children's activities, crafts, games, displays and demonstrations by costumed re-enactors. Special children's historic house tours, a tea party hosted by Jack Jouett's wife, a hands-on archaeological artifact exhibit, pony rides and a petting zoo also will be available. Admission is free.
