The Jessamine County Public Library will present a preschool story time for children 3-5 years old and their caregivers at 7 p.m. Tuesday and again at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Each session includes 25-30 minutes of stories, poetry, finger plays, singing and dancing followed by an art activity or dramatic play. Participation is encouraged as language and movement are explored in a group setting. No registration is required. A Thread Runs Through It, an exhibit of fiber art, is open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Sunday afternoons and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays during January at the Polvino Family Arts Center. The exhibit features work from more than a dozen fiber artists from across Kentucky, including Stacey R. Chinn, Kathy Loomis, Jennifer Reis and Laverne Zasbielski.
