The following Boy Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank a Boy Scout may attain:
■ Garren K. Allen, 17, of Georgetown is a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 209, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Garren is a junior at Galenus Academy and is the son of Bridgette and Mark Allen. For his Eagle Project, Garren painted court-size world and state maps on an outside exercise area of Eastern Elementary School in Georgetown.
■ Isaac Caleb Watson, 18, of Salyersville is a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 862, sponsored by the Magoffin County Kiwanis Club. Isaac is a senior at Magoffin County High School and is the son of Victoria and Jerry Gibson and the late Michael D. Watson. For his Eagle Project, Isaac built a covered picnic shelter at Lakefront Church of God in Salyersville, which houses the Water Into Wine Food Pantry. He is the first Boy Scout in 17 years to make Eagle Scout in Magoffin County. Isaac is now serving as junior assistant scoutmaster for his troop.
