Register for R.J. Corman Run/Walk on May 16
The R.J. Corman 5K Run/Walk to benefit Chrysalis House will begin at 9 a.m. May 16 at the R.J. Corman Railroad Group, 101 R.J. Corman Drive, Nicholasville.
Register at Cormanracesforchrysalis.com or call (859) 977-2502. Online registration is available until 5 p.m. May 14 and costs $20. Early packet pickup will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 14 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 15 at Chrysalis Community Center, 1589 Hill Rise Drive, Lexington. Race day registration costs $25 and will begin at 7:30 a.m.
Money will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers ($750, $250, $100), and five random cash drawings of $200 each will be given away. Post-race food will be prepared by My Old Kentucky Dinner Train executive chef Jeff Sidebottom and will include burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, wraps, fruit and churned homemade ice cream. The race will be chip-timed by 3 Way Racing with scrolling results. Preregistrants will receive a race T-shirt.

Hone your egg-crafting skills at the library
Create your own blown painted egg craft from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Jessamine County Public Library. The make-and-take project will be available on a table in the library along with examples and instructions. If you do not have time to make the project at the library, you may take the craft supplies home. The library is temporarily located at 193 Computrex Drive, Nicholasville. More info at Jesspublib.org.
