The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights and the Berea Human Rights Commission will sponsor free training on the Kentucky Fair Housing Act from 1 to 3 p.m. April 29 at the Madison County Public Library's Berea Branch, 319 Chestnut Street. Real estate licensees, landlords, social service providers and government employees are encouraged to attend. Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance. Hands Four Spring Dance set Friday through Sunday
The Hands Four Spring Dance in Berea will be Friday thorough Sunday at Russel Acton Folk Center on Jefferson Street and at the Berea Center for the Arts, 128 North Broadway.
The event will feature contra dance bands such as the Berea Castoffs and Illegal Contraband and Louisville-based Coffee Zombie and Lexington-based Intellectual Property. Kentucky callers include Chris Bischoff of Louisville, Liz Natter, Cary Ravitz and Barbara Ramlow of Lexington and Berea's Joe Wilkie. Workshops include Fusion waltz, Hambo, English country dancing, Mazurka, Irish Kerry sets, Israeli folk dancing, clogging, playing in a band, squares and challenging contras.
